Tuition and Cost

MTI Tuition & Program Costs

A trade school education can offer a quicker path to becoming career-ready than a traditional four-year college or two-year community college. According to a 2019 report, the majority of students in the U.S. pay between $6,000 and $15,000* in tuition per year for both public and private schools.

Most of MTI’s programs and courses can be completed in less than a year*, giving students the opportunity to enter the workforce sooner. Unlike a traditional community college, MTI does not require any general education courses.

In contrast, a program at a community or state college typically takes between 2-4 years to complete, meaning students would on average pay between $6,000 and $15,000* per year at a community or state college.

For the latest information on MTI program tuition and costs, please visit our catalog; cost of student supplies for each program can be found here.

For more information, see Trade School vs College: A Guide to Weighing Your Options.

*Not all programs and courses can be completed in less than one year

*Financial assistance is available to those who qualify

The Admissions Team at MTI can assist you in choosing the right program for you, based on your interests, skills and career goals. During the enrollment process, MTI’s Financial Aid Representatives work with every student individually to help find the best financial aid options available to help students fund their education*.

Calculating Tuition Costs and Fees

The College Navigator website can be a useful tool for students to estimate the cost of tuition and fees. College Navigator uses regularly updated Integrated Post-secondary Education Data System (IPEDS) data submitted to National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) by colleges nationwide, including MTI. College Navigator provides side-by-side comparisons of colleges including programs, accreditation, financial aid and more.
