MTI offers 3 Mechanical Trades Programs that are relevant to todays workforce. You could be come a Welding Craftsman in 7 months, a Pipe Fitter in 9 months, or a HVAC/R - MAR Technician in 9 months. Journeyman Welder

7 months

MTI Welding graduates work across the country in manufacturing, construction, and maintenance fields. They are employed as boilermakers, pipe fitters, structural welders, as well as many other welding related jobs. Journeyman Welder II

9 months

Journeyman Welding II offers an additional 10 weeks/250 hours than Welding I. This course will expand on the pipe fitting course and include more hands on Fitting and Rigging. Shop goals are to Fabricate/Weld saddles, run pipe A to B economically, multiple pipe runs at various angles and review of all pipe applications.... more

Medical Assistant

Medical Coder

Medical Coders will be instructed in the analysis of medical records (charts) and the assignment of codes for indexing diagnoses and procedures to provide information for insurance reimbursement purposes. "Coding" means transforming the written or verbal descriptions of diseases, injuries, and procedures into numerical designations. Massage Therapist

The Massage Therapy program teaches massage techniques and alternative therapies that will assist in maintaining and promoting the physical well-being of their clients. Basic Nursing Assistant

The Basic Nursing Assisting course prepares individuals to function as nursing assistants in nursing homes, hospitals, and private homes in a 7 week period. It provides basics nursing knowledge and skills required to care for individuals in a manner that respects their dignity. Journeyman Welder - Pipefitting

10 Weeks

The Journeyman Welder pipefittting continuing education course is offered to those who have successfully completed the MTI 30 week welding course and passed the pipefitting entrance exam OR have previous construction experience and pass the pipefitting entrance exam.  Shop goals are proper rigging and pipe hanger installation. Pulling measurements for pipe runs. Measuring and fabricating 45 degree offsets. Increase difficulty of pipe runs and fabricating 30 degree 60 degree offsets.... more

 

Medical Assistant Test Review

6 weeks

This review course is offered in the evenings for a 6 week, 36 hour period of time.  The course involves review for the certification test through the AAMA or the NCCT.  These certifications are industry recognized by most all employers.  In many cases, certification is necessary for employment.  The review course includes a review of anatomy, medical terminology, psychology, ethics, and pharmacology, as well as clinical and administrative duties of the medical assistant.   .... more
